Introducing Debbie Reeds
Hello, I'm the founder of Soul Sanook Coaching. I'm British and lived in Bangkok, Thailand for about 6 years, I have now returned to the UK and live on the south coast. I have a passion for living life to the full and for helping others to do the same.
What is your background?
I trained as a Personnel Manager in the UK, working with a Building Society and Management Consultancy before setting up my own People Management Consultancy business focusing mainly on small and medium sized enterprises. Some of my most stimulating times
were conversations with entrepreneurs about their future plans and seeing how a few people changing their attitude could have a major impact on an organisation.
When did you go to Asia?
I had achieved a degree of success but hadn't yet found what I really wanted to do. I retrained as an English teacher and set off to travel in Asia. Working for local companies in Hong Kong and Thailand has given me a strong appreciation of cross cultural issues as well as the challenges and rewards of living and working abroad.
How did you get into Coaching?
I had been involved with Business Coaching when consulting and became interested in Life Coaching when I studied Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and attended other personal development workshops.
What's your Soul Sanook? >Top
My Soul Sanook comes from sharing learning with others, 'ah-ha' moments, dancing, singing, independent travel, beaches, sunsets, smiles from people I don't know and hugs from those I do!
What are your qualifications?
I'm an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the International Coaching Federation and my training is with the American University, CoachU. I've written about coaching qualifications in the article 'Coaching Clarity'. I'm also an NLP Practitioner and have professional qualifications in personnel, marketing and teaching English. My degree is in Business.
Why Soul Sanook?
I love to see the positivity and happiness that oozes from clients after our sessions and I know the impact this has on those they are close to and even people they interact with during their day. It's this rippling out into the global community that inspires me to continuously develop my coaching practice.
